it is time to live transfiguration

Feeling better today. Time to show you the good stuff! because there totally is good stuff happening. :D

+ I got a 98% on my first college algebra test! yeah, I was really worried about that one, and so happy it turned out well.

+ Glee was fabulous this week. So was SPN, Merlin, and The Office. Yay!

+ I've been erasing a book called 'My Window Looks Down East' by Elinor Graham, a little bit at a time, for the past several weeks. I was really busy and thought I didn't have time to this last week, but I picked it up and did just a little bit last night and it really helped me cool down and relax. She's got such lovely phrases and words she uses - I want to show you the first page I did. It's not very long. :D

trees lose leaves
all the air burns
It is time to live transfiguration
and carry the memory through the winter.
This is that autumn
so let us walk a road a few hours in golden light
the sun's rays and flowers burnished bronze
a graceful simplicity
alone at once clearer
and more

that is lovely! eeee erasure! I'm so excited for you! it really is this calming thing - I kind of get a weird trancelike state of intense focus, it's cool. anyway what you've got is beautiful!

congrats on your algebra test too! :D that is an AWESOME grade for math, man.

Congrats on the test! And the erasure you have so far is really pretty and smooth. You rock, dude.

Erm. Erasing a book? Pardon my ignorance *sheepish*

so let us walk a road a few hours in golden light
Oooh. Pretty mental image. Didn't even have to use any extravagant words.

And yay, congrats!

98%? Oh bb, that is AWESOME. Congrats!

Ooooh, this erasure! I really like it, the nature imagery is really nice (we've been doing *gag* romantic poetry in English, so nature has been on my mind), and it's just really clear and heartfelt and beautiful. <3

it really does help to make me feel loads better, which is awesome.

thank you! yeah, it made me feel loads better. I was worried I was going to fail the class, and now I think I might manage a decent grade. *crosses fingers*

It's not a commonly known term, I think. There's an explanation here and quite a few fannish examples here, if you're interested. it's loads of fun.

aww, thank you! sometimes simple things are the best, aren't they?

Oh, cool. I'd no idea this sort of writing existed, but you have to wonder why it's never been thought of before!. I think I'll explore more works like these(though not sure I'll actually write some because I fail at poetry :p)
