be_themoonSo I think after that initial 'OMGSOCREEPYCAN'TSLEEP' reaction, and then a second, not as bad one when I read over more episode recaps and such, I'm getting more okay with it. I mean, I really can't watch the whole ghosts part, but I've been watching lots of episodes. Partially out of order, but y'know.
Okay. Wendigo (1.02)? Hell no, I am not watching that one, sorry. I watched the beginning, right up until they head into the woods, but past that? No go.
On the other hand, I watched Dead in the Water ( 1.03) and Phantom Traveler (1.04) pretty much straight through, so I'm guessing my problem is more with the carnivorous nasty things... I guess. I watched Faith (1.12) too, and parts of various season two episodes that involve Dean and Sam dealing with their dad's death, and then quite a few season three episodes, because concerned!Sammy and fakingit!Dean make me want to melt and cry. And now I've watched quite a few season four episodes, because OMGCASTIELSOAWESOME.O.O. ("What, you don't think you deserve to be saved?" And you know yeah, that's exactly what Dean does think, and just the way Castiel says it sends SHIVERS UP AND DOWN MY SPINE I AM NOT KIDDING YOU and Misha Collins is really good at playing a freaky angel, just so you know.) And just the whole Dean being BACK FROM HELL YAAAAAY DEAN I LOVE YOU.
And the last scene of season three. Dean's face as the clock strikes midnight. And Sammy just standing there crying... Okay, I used to be a completely unemotional person when it came to watching movies. The first time I cried at a movie was the end of Gladiator. I cried sometime during RotK too, I believe. But I've come so close to crying so many times while watching this show, and that scene just made me literally start bawling.
I think my mom was slightly worried, actually.
Obviously this show IS NOT SAFE FOR ME GUYS.
But ohhhh, I love it. Actually, probably my favorite episode so far, besides anything involving Dean and Castiel? A Very Supernatural Christmas (3.08). The whole thing was great, and the violence and such was of the type that I... actually didn't mind watching, surprisingly. I love how Dean gets all concerned over Sam when the Caddigans are about to cut his arm, and Sam's face when Mr. Caddigan comes up with the pliers... O.o These are some good actors, y'all. And then the whole Christmas thing going on made me want to bawl too, actually. D:
OH. AND 4.10. THE LAST SCENE OMG. *dies* That... that was freaking brilliantly done and delivered, and I just... okay, I cried then too.
So yeah... I love the Winchester boys. I'm probably done ranting about them now, but I'm gonna keep watching the ones I can and so forth. *sniffs* I love them kids.
