Nevcolleil wrote me a lovely Criminal Minds/Inception crossover, Life Ain't A Dream, about Spencer and Arthur and their tangled life together. You guys should go check it out, it's really nice and I love the idea of Spencer and Arthur being childhood friends who wreaked havoc together before turning into something more.

I wrote The Curious Case of the Time Agent and His Sister for turkeyish, a Torchwood/Narnia fic which is actually set roughly in the same universe as that other Torchwood/Narnia fic I did ages ago, To Go Nowhere With You. (I strongly suspect there will be an Edmund/Ianto coda to this fic prettyyy soon. Also there is the fic that is specifically a sequel to TGNWY.) I am also writing a pinch hit which will show up sometime soon. Also I want to thank flyakate again for being an invaluable and wonderful beta. That fic was in a horrific state when she got it, and she did a quick turnaround and a very good beta on it at the same time. <3333

ALSO erasureathon has started and the person erasing for me is amazing and has already done one. xenoamorist erased Far From His Home and turned it into as small as a world and as large as alone, which is an amazing, beautiful piece of poetry about Castiel and Dean being in love and the awkwardness of bodies and it is really, stupendously well done. YOU SHOULD GO READ IT.

ps I am sort of watching TV but mostly just sitting around joining Aidan and Mary in their epic Battlestar Galactica watch. It mostly goes like this. "Betsy is it going to get better? At all?" "... Well, no, not really." "ARGH." *puts on another episode*

I was clearing out some of my email folders, just going through and seeing what's what (I have 567 emails in my folder for ff.net and LJ notifications O.o) and I found a list of 25 prompts from two NaNo's ago (at least, I'm fairly certain that that's what they're from. They really are some very interesting words, the type that are always fun to work with, so I'm posting them here for anyone who wants to look them over. I think I might give them a go. XD

Author's Notes: The title is from G. K. Chesterton’s lovely poem Gold Leaves, specifically the first two and last two lines. ‘Lo! I am come to autumn/When all the leaves are gold’ and ‘But I am come to autumn/When all the leaves are gold.’ Like bedlamsbard , I find myself associating various seasons with various things for Narnia, and autumn is the season I associate with when they leave. Also, this is PURE FLUFF. Until the end, because I am horrible and had to include some warnings of sadness.

First of all, a very happy birthday to rabidline ! It's an important one, and I hope you had a wonderful day. *hugs*

Went to the dentist today. No cavities, but I have such crazy teeth. Three of my baby teeth? HAVE NOTHING BENEATH THEM. And therefore will leave HOLES in my MOUTH when they come out. NOT COOL. Also one of my teeth has apparently fused itself to the bone and will eventually have to be pulled out. I repeat, NOT COOL.

Also, I wrote something very quickly tonight, something that's neither of the fic projects I should be working on. I think it needs a bit of editing, and it feels rough to me. But eh, here it is. Inspired by lassiterfics and zempasuchil beautiful Sea Change fic, and also turkeyish 's comment here.

Notes: I’m… not sure about the composition of this one. It did a tense switch on me halfway through, but the parts felt distinctly separate, even if there wasn’t a line between them, so I let it do what it wanted. So we’ll see. Not particularly satisfied, though.

You know something odd? Whenever I write something that people like, or that I think is good, there's this unreasoning fear in the back of my head that I'll never be able to do it again, and that that was just a stroke of blind luck. I know that's not true by now, because I've proven it wrong every time so far, but it still worries me. I think if someone asked me my greatest fear, it would have to be that I'll lose whatever skill I have at writing. (This is because people seem to enjoy my Narnia fanfics, and so now the fear is back in all it's unreasoning horribleness. It hadn't really been around before because I hadn't been showing people what I was writing.)
