i give up, time is a weird soup and i don't understand how it keeps happening
I love a truly wide array of stories and story types, so please just find whatever in my interests Sparks Joy for you in writing and have fun <3. If it fulfills even one of the "things I like" then I'm going to be happy. I love a good Narnia story.
Narnia Specific Dislikes: please treat the Problem of Susan with sympathy for Susan and her siblings and no vilification, if it should come up. I personally don't like Aslan portrayed as benevolent all kindly god - he's not a Tame Lion, after all, and gods work in mysterious ways.
Narnia Specific Likes: this place has so much weird mythology and history that we don't really get to see explored, and I'm here for all of it. I love Susan and Edmund together as kind of the shadowy siblings, I'm fascinated by how the Pevensies built and maintained the Golden Age. I think my interests these days tend more Narnia centric in terms of setting but that is not to say I'm opposed to England stories, especially AU's (Susan and Edmund both survive and cope together is a fave, but there are SO MANY good options). The women of Narnia don't get enough centrism in the stories, so I'm particularly happy whenever stories make them the main character. Charn is so weird??? What the fuck is up with stars? How many gods are there hanging out in Narnia? The fuck is up with the Wood Between Worlds? we have SO MANY unanswered questions and I love stories that try to answer them, or just world build some back story. Sentient Cair Paravel is a concept I love and anything kind of similar is probably also going to land very well for me. Recently I've become fascinated by Swanwhite as the last Queen of Narnia before the Telmarines invaded and also just the general time frame of the Telmarine invasion! Genuinely there is so much lore going on in this place and I would be delighted for a story that explores any of it.
General Things I Love In Stories: character studies, worldbuilding heavy stories, competency, codependency, I do love a good crossover, banter, happy endings, bittersweet stories, there is always some hope, lgbtq+ people being just a normal facet of life. Also, when I say I love a good crossover I mean it, please do not hesitate to do a crossover if that's something you like. I've done or read crossovers for Narnia with Doctor Who, BBC Merlin, Supernatural, The Book That Wouldn't Burn, Leverage, Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, Inception, The Dark Is Rising - probably more. Narnia works so well as a crossover. Narnia crosses over so well with so much - Arthurian mythology! Lewis' weird space trilogy! Mythology of all kinds! I don't even know, just know that as long as I have a vague knowledge of the given fandom I'll be fine with it. This is not to pressure you into a crossover, I just want it to be clear that it's genuinely fine.
This poem is one of my biggest Narnia feelings. Also this one.
Things I Do Not Want: truly grimdark stories (i love tragedy but i also like some hope). No explicit noncon.
