so life goes

Much too typical of my life exchange between my mom and me:
Me: But that was ridiculous! Everyone knows the Queen of Sheba is only referenced in the Bible and hasn't been established as a genuine historical figure!
Mom: *gives look*
Me: ... orrrrr I'm just that much of a nerd.
Mom: You're just that much of a nerd.
Me: Right then.
Also, weird dream. Me and Kat and Esther and my mom were driving around for what was apparently a school project for Esther which involved stopping at houses and asking people what they'd named their daughter. (Look, I have NO IDEA.) Anyways, the important part was when we stopped at this one house, and the mom kind of sort of knew my mom, and we just... stayed there. For a long time? It felt like a long time, because there was cattle driving and playing in the yard and on this playground they had, and the mom had about seven kids, some adopted, some not. And their dad was a nice fisherman, and Sam joined us there and we just kind of... drifted away. It was a nice place. The oldest son was really serious and protective of his siblings and at first he didn't trust us at all but I think he and I kind of fell in love?
And then at the end there was this completely random scene from a BALL, where we were all wearing approximately Civil War era outfits, and the oldest boy and I had a quarrel (I think I might have been drunk at the time).
And then I woke up and went 'WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT, MIND?'
In other completely unrelated news, I've still got bronchitis in that I'm coughing, but the no sleeping and dizziness and fever has passed, so I'm mostly good.
