Hey guys!

So, I'm busily watching Disney movies right now. Finished Mary Poppins, then Mulan (which I've seen in part before but never the whole thing at once), and now Beauty and the Beast. Oh, Disney.

I'm feeling slightly bored tonight - home alone, and LJ being quiet (*gasp*) and feeling a great desire to write Susan and Mary Poppins. Or Mary Poppins/Bert but without the attention span to do anything more than comment!fic it, and with nobody to do that with as far as I'm aware.

Loving Belle already, because she can read and walk at the same time, something I do all the time but almost never see other people do.

I'm long overdue on the next part of the Merlin/Narnia comment!fic with Bed, but have absolutely NO PLOT. D: And I can't just write fuzz, I think, because that would throw the whole thing off track (I kind of just want to write Arthur/Lucy because it is adorable you guys).

I was walking back to my car from class today staring at my blackberry, because I was checking twitter. People must have thought I was insane. WHATEVER I DON'T CARE!

Haha yeah I used to walk home from the bus stop reading when I was in high school. It was a ten minute walk.

Reading while walking is an art akin to walking on high heels: last time I tried either, I fell down the stairs and was permanently traumatized.

Belle is indeed made of awesome, but I always get annoyed at the part where (erm. Spoilers?) she finds Maurice in the forest and hauls him back to the village where she has no choice but to do everything herself and she has no backup when the asylum creepface comes. She could have brought him up to the castle and had Mrs. Potts et al tend him, and transformed the Beast into Prince Whatsis without anybody getting stabbed or fallen off rooftops, and later gone back to the village with a small army and a cart to collect the belongings of hers and Maurice's, and had people to chase off the asylum creepface and Gaston, and smacked Gaston down by introducing Prince Whatsis as her husband. Still my all-time favorite Disney movie, though. The world needs more bookworm heroines!

XD but it is also fun!

spoilers are fine, I finished it. XD mmm, I suppose so. Then, her house is the automatic safe place in her mind, I'd guess, and she'd know her father would be uncomfortable with the Beast, and she didn't have any idea of what was coming... I guess it depends on how close she was to the two places respectively?

besides, you have to have suspense! :P BOOKWORM HEROINES FTW.

MAGICAL NANNIES WHO ARE NOT-SO-SECRETLY AWESOME, WOO!

It's adorable! I guess the easiest thing to compare it to is Arthur/Gwen (I'd say Peter/Lucy but that generally just worries me). ARTHUR/LUCY/GWEN WOULD BE EVEN AWESOMER. *considers this*

I theoretically really like Peter/Lucy, but I've only been able to write one Peter/Lucy subtextual piece that I like. I think there's more Peter/Lucy on ffnet but I don't really have patience for that place. I think she keeps his spirits up and his faith strong, and he finds her artlessness comforting. I tend to see Edmund and Susan as deep water, and Peter and Lucy are more like bubbling brooks? They're allies. Sexy allies.

OOH LUCY/GWEN. But then Morgana gets jealous, and is suspicious and subtly threatening at Lucy.

"Gwen would love anybody," Morgana says, trying not to sulk.

"You know better than anyone that that's a load of tripe," says Merlin.

Theoretically, Peter/Lucy is adorable and lovely and golden, but I never actually write or read it. Oooh. I like that assessment. Deep rivers versus babbling brooks, WOO.

Lucy/Gwen is just too adorable for words. *pets them both*

Lucy does not stand for subtly threatening and is perhaps a bit too unadvisedly triumphant about the whole thing.

"She's just flaunting it in front of my face!" Morgana fumes to Arthur. He looks vaguely amused, and then heads out to do whatever it is he does these nights (she's willing to bet shagging Peter).

Merlaaaaaarnia, I have miiiiissssed you!

Morgana asks, "What do you think of the Narnian queen, Gwen?"

"Oh, Queen Susan is absolutely lovely. The court is quite taken with her. Why, the other day--"

"No no," Morgana says, and wonders if she should also worry about Susan. "I mean Lucy."

"Lucy," Gwen smiles fondly. "What isn't there to love about Lu?"

"Lu?"

gotta love Merlarnia!

Morgana throws her hands up in the air and stalks away, followed by Gwen's glare that means 'stop acting like an idiot'. One of three glares that mean that, actually.

The next day at the feast Arthur flirts shamelessly with Gwen and Lucy and Morgana does her best not to grab the knives off the wall and start throwing them at the three.

"Shameless," she mutters, and stabs her food more viciously than necessary. Susan smiles and places a hand on her arm.

"You have excellent taste in clothes," she says with a beguiling smile, and Morgana's eyebrows raise.

"It seems your brother has attracted your ire, Lady," Susan says.

"He seems to have attracted quite more than that," the Lady Morgana mutters. "And he's not my brother."

Susan raises her eyebrow. "So, what is he?"

"He's..." She turns red. "His manservant calls him a prat. I rather agree with him."

It's like they are daring you to see how many pairings you can make from just these eight. Morgana/Susan is like REFLECTIONS IN A MIRROR and all SO FAMILIAR, and... *flails* EEEE. This stuff just makes me squee madly, because these people. Also, I have learned to adore Morgana/Arthur (perhaps as a natural result of my love of Peter/Susan).

Morgana is almost certain that the Queen of Narnia is flirting with her and it feels strange, because watching Susan is almost like watching herself, lips stained red with wine and eyes brilliant and wide.

"I have heard you have a magnificent library," Susan says. "I would love to see it." The way she says it, it sounds like an invitation to something more, and Morgana stands up, a little aware of her head spinning.

"It is quite a large collection," she murmurs, and Susan loops her arm through Morgana's as they slip into the hallways.

SUSAN QUEEN OF NARNIA AND MORGANA LE FAY CAN MARK MY PAGE ANYTIME

It's like they are daring you to see how many pairings you can make from just these eight.
YESEXACTLY. And it's woooooonderful. Morgana and Susan are TOTALLY REFLECTIONS, especially how in the future they're the ones who "go astray", and right now they are sexy superhot HBIC warrior queens! I don't really see Edmund as a Merlin though. I think he's pretty similar to Morgana also. I'm not quite sure what Peter/Gwen has to offer me, but I'm willing to find out. Merlin/Lucy (embracing the magic??), Susan/Gwen (gentle together??), Arthur/Lucy (knights together??), Edmund/Arthur (um, Edmund tries to seduce state secrets out of Arthur. or something.), Morgana/Lucy (I have had a Morgana/Lucy plot bunny FOR AGES, with bonus subtextual Edmund/Lucy -- oh who are we kidding, Pevencest is always a given in my fics), god, I can ramble onnnnn and onnnn.

EDMUND/MORGANA: blowing the badass quotient skyyyy hiiiiiigh. And of course, I will never not love any combination of Arthur/Peter/Susan/Morgana. YUM, MY FAVORITE.

Arthur/Morgana have a lot of potential! It... is kind of boring in canon, but fic can make it awesome, as fic tends to do. I like them as rivals and allies, and prefer for their romantic/sexual relationship to be based on that. I want fic about their life-long competition against each other (especially for Uther's love), and the dirty moves they might have played. And then they grow up and learn to work together to be the PENDRAGON POLITICAL POWERHOUSE as High King Arthur and King Morgana. They let the dragon go. After all he is not a tame dragon?!

Ummm, Ranty McTalkstoomuch is going to bed now.

Susan and Mary Poppins YES PLEASE.

Belle is totally the best Disney princess! <333 She has a giant library and she READS. When I was little I wanted to be Belle (although I would have settled for Jasmine, because there was a pet tiger).
