... well, that was unexpected.

Sam just cut himself with a chainsaw. It's not deep or really bad, but Mom's worrying that he needs a tetnus shot and is about to pass out because she feels so horrible about letting him use it at all, and especially because she'd gone to the other side of the yard to do something. And Sam's crying because he doesn't want Papa to know because he's sure Papa will make him feel like he's really really stupid (a rather justified fear).

It's really unexpected, because Sam's always been pretty careful with sharp things and he's done chain-saw work before with Matt and with my mom and he's always done very well, so... yeah.

I guess we're just lucky it's not deeper.

I think Kat and I might be the only sane people in the house right now. O.o

Aw, poor kid. Definitely get the shot, better to be safe than sorry, right? (We went through something like this with my brother when he and his friend decided to help a sick raccoon by taking it to the vet. A doctor in the neighborhood happened to pass them on the street and called the friend's mom to tell her the boys were wandering around with a rabid raccoon and she should maybe get them to the doctor.)

I hope he feels better. :/

O.o Your brother sounds awesome! I think Sam learned his lesson about trying to catch wild mammals (snakes are a whole 'nother matter) after getting bit by a rat. XD

He seems to be doing fine now, so yay!
