in things not related to my attempts to meta Renesmee Cullen into a likeable/believable character (and yes, this involves mostly completely ignoring the imprinting thing, whee, let Jacob find his consolation elsewhere!), OMG HP6 OMG

OMFG

eeee!

When Harry touches that ring and then does that really creepy neck twist thingie from HP5? SO GOOD.

DRACO IS FLYYYY. DRACO WILL TAKE YOUR FACE OFF, YO.

Two things I wish were more clear: where was the transition between just hanging out and then DEFYING DEATH IN THE CAVE (which, okay, was pretty much EPICLY AWESOME). also, was Ginny still dating Dean when she kissed Harry? 'cuz, uh. confusing.

THINGS I LOVED TO PIECES.

Um, yeah, pretty much the whole movie. manipulative Harry omg! REPEATING RIDDLE'S CONVERSATION.

Ron saying Hermione's name! Hermione holding his hand and telling Harry to shut up!
Hermione getting in subtle jabs at Harry liking Ginny like, the whole movie. "Although I think Harry enjoyed desert" HAHA.

I have got to find out a way to see this in the movie theater. GOT TO.

I LOVE GINNY SHE IS SO PRETTYYYYY.

AND DRACO IS ABSOLUTELY EFFING AMAZING IN THIS FILM, UGH IT'S TOO MUCH FOR ME TO HANDLE. YUM.

AND RON! RON WILL FOREVER BE MY FIRST LOVE.

lol@harry on felix!

oh man i gotta see this again. GOTTA.

one thing i really wanted was the funeral scene. :(

re: Ginny I DUNNO. Hermione said that they'd been arguing, so maybe it's implied they broke up? BUT DID YOU NOTICE DEAN HAD NO SPOKEN LINES IN THE MOVIE? ISN'T THAT KIND OF SAD?

re:Hermione YES. YES. YES.

re: Draco DRACOOOOOOOOOO. OH DRACO. SO BROODING AND SO NOT!TOM FELTON AND JUST SO AWESOME AND TOM FELTON AND HIS ACTING CHOPS AND OH WOW. YEAH. And I still have yet to make a proper reaction post. What is this

I HAVE BEEN BRINGING THIS UP TO LITERALLY EVERYONE! I THOUGHT I WAS THE ONLY ONE WHO NOTICED BECAUSE ALL OF MY FRIENDS WERE LIKE, "BZUH?"

BUT CLEARLY WE ARE BRAINTWINS!

BTW, how did you see it? Did you find it online? (In which case... share the love, bb!)

sdflkjsfdkdfs I JUST SAW THAT TONIGHT AND AM FULL OF SQUEE TOO!! DRACOOOOOO IS SO G :DDD I have to confess that I thought it was the best ever on the train when Harry did not get away with his invisibility tricks! OUR HERO IS NOT INFALLIBLE, OKAY; OUR ANTAGONISTS ARE NOT DUMBASSES. oh so broody and conflicted and subtle, I LOVED DRACO.

The amount of hanging out that Harry does with Dumbledore is kind of weird. Yeah, it was really a strange jump. Harry repeating Riddle's conversation was !!!!!!!!OMG NO U DIDNT! And manipulative dumbledore and Harry totally getting on board with it! It was so weird, did you notice how he was acting like DRUNK when he took the Felix Felicis? chatty and fidgety and too loud and LOL THE SPIDER-PINCER GESTURES XDDD

Right when Harry arrived at the Burrow, I was all HECK YES THIS MOVIE IS SOOOO SHIPPY I LOVE IT. But DanRad was all stiff; his romance scenes are only romantic because of Ginny, otherwise it is just him standing stiff as a board while she ties his shoe or KISSES HIM AND HE DOESN'T EVEN KISS BACK SDLFKJDFSL.

And here I've been wondering when Draco went from wizard teen to 45-year-old attorney.

(It's the light hair and form fitting business suit. And the lighting. It's gotta be.)

THEY WERE PRETTY AWESOME YEAH

RON! I do not understand it, but a great deal of the fandom just... doesn't seem to like him, that I've seen. I love him, and all the Weasley's. They're so great!

HARRY ON FELIX 'SNICK SNICK' HEEEE

I was crying at the wands in the air thing, and I can see their point that they already had an ending, and the funeral would have dragged it out a lot. Still, it would have been nice to see.

I KNOW I LIKE DEAN. D: But I like Seamus better, so. Heh. I dunno, because I'm fairly certain she was with Dean the day after she kissed Harry, so... I dunno, they could definitely have made that clearer.

HERMIONEEEE.

DRACOOOOOOO.

I saw your comment on Lass' post about HP6, but given that that little neck twist thingie was pretty much my FAVORITE THING EVER about the creepy seeing Voldemort everywhere thing (and I thought that was pretty much epicly awesome, so. yeah.) I think I would have noticed it anyways. WAS IT NOT AWESOME?

yeah, online. Horrible definition and tiny, but at least I have seen it now (though I'm still hoping for some way to see it in theaters. *crosses fingers* I doubt it, but you never know!)

Hee. I was wondering what was up with the business suit all the time, but liked it too much to really care. XD And yeah, the lighting was really dim, wasn't it?

I KNOW I KNOW heeee 'that's for my father' DRACOOOO your family always comes first, no matter what the price - I think he must have learned this from his mother, because I can't see Lucius Malfoy teaching Draco that

"I was reading in the library" *chills* but then again, he learned from the best, didn't he, DUMBLEDORE, who I am never actually forgiving

OMG THE SPIDER PINCER I had to pause the movie I was laughing so hard, that was A++++++ SO HILARIOUS HE WAS SO DRUNK/HIGH

I KNOW I KNOW I think I mostly put that down to him going 'YOU ARE STILL DATING MY ROOMMATE' because, well, her flirting with him while apparently still dating Dean (?????) confused me to no end.

BUT THAT MOVIE WAS SO AWESOME.

I dunno, but Dean is in the background of a lot of scenes. And in the credits they put in Katie Leung as Cho Chang but I didn't see her once in this movie. Hahaha, Seamus. His Irish accent amuses me. And his habit of messing up during class.

I KNOWWWWW. <33333

I thought I spotted Cho once, but couldn't be sure (stupid low definition internet copy grrrr). SEAMUS. He's pretty much my favorite background character (right next to the Patils, which, um, yeah). HE BLOWS UP HIS CAULDRON. HE BLOWS UP HIS FEATHER. HE BLOWS UP EVERYTHING (and he does it with an Irish accent! Woohoo!).

Really? What scene was it in? YES, SEAMUS. Hahaha, but the Patils are awesome, so yeah. :D THE FEATHER WAS THE BESTEST. BUT EITHER WAY, ANYONE WHO CAN MAKE THINGS GO *SPLODE* HAS MY LOVE. <3333

I don't remember! D: I think it was a scene in the Great Hall?

SEAMUS. I have never been able to figure out how he managed to blow up a feather. It was pretty impressive. :D

Hmmm, that makes sense! ...And also, in the Great Hall, I seem to recall Dean sitting and talking with a Slytherin in the background of one of the scenes. o___O

He never ceases to amaze us all. XD

...1979? Is that the year? Because he's in Harry's year at Hogwarts, and the 7th book is supposed to be their last year and the Battle of Hogwarts is dated 1997, but he'd have to turn 17 BEFORE September 1, 1996 to be in Harry's year....I think. I dunno. Something like that.

It brought out every wrinkle! And since he's so pale, anyway, it made his skin look so sallow. Poor Draco looked about ready for a mid-life crisis!

They are all about pureblood pride, so I imagine family is v. important to all of them all the time. But yeah you're right, his father probably would disapprove of the sentiment Draco has for him. That's got to be Narcissa.

It was actually just brilliant all the ways this movie drew parallels between Harry and Voldemort! that conversation (sure it was scripted but what he was doing, that was pretty sneaky and mean to Slughorn) and him being all torn about following Dumbledore's orders to make him drink the awful stuff, and his total lack of reasons to be suspicious of suddenly-sympathetic-character Draco, and SECTUMSEMPRA omfg. yeah. I <3 this movie.

Oooh yeah the Dean thing. That would put a damper on stuff. And they never resolved the Dean issue! :/ thanks, director.

it was like 'LOOK, THEY ARE VERY SIMILAR' and 'should i spell it out for you?'

it was sneaky and mean! poor Slughorn. SECTUMSEMPRAAAA he didn't stay around to see if he was okay! DRACO HAD STOPPED MAKING NOISE. man, they are in over their head, all of them.

That was one of my two (well, three) biggest problems with like... the whole movie. (my problems with my movie, let me... um... yeah, there's not much to show.)

For some reason it didn't strike me as particularly hammerhanded in their comparison. maybe because they did it more strongly in another movie? oh yeah, OotP with his snake vision trick etc. But that was more like, Oh Harry you worry too much, you are not actually Voldemort. And this one was like, Dude, Harry... you're kind of like Voldemort and you don't seem to realize it!

I stopped being critical of HP when I made sure not to read the books right before seeing the movies. That ensured my enjoyment greatly because I wasn't preoccupied with the differences. so, hee, yes, not much problem here!

Not necessarily hammer-handed, but it ... felt really obvious to me (then again, I look for these sorts of things in movies all the time, so).

I pretty much treat the movies as supplemental to the books. If you want to know what's going on in all the subplots and stuff, you read the books, but the movies are pretty darn awesome too. (It's why I find it just so weird when people are all 'I HATED THE MOVIE, IT WAS HORRIBLE, THEY CHANGED THE PLOT' and I'm going 'wow, that was AWESOME. Sure, they changed the plot, and they could have fixed a few things, but awesome.' It BOGGLES MY BRAIN.)
