excitement is on the horizon!

You guys, this is awesome! I've never had an actual TV season to look forward to before - Supernatural was the first show I ever had to wait for episodes on (what? I went straight for the classics! Buffy, Firefly, etc.), and that was just for a little bit last year! But now I've got all sorts of awesome shows to look forward to and hopefully I'll stop binging on shows and just watch a few episodes every week. I can handle that! (before I go into my excitement, the post-apocalyptic WarGames AU is being worked on, but it needs a fair bit of editing and I don't like the opening STILL, and I've been busily watching SHOWS YAY! Also, narniaexchange has started posting, and there are some pretty awesome pieces up already. SO EXCITED AND HAPPY!).

This fall is going to be so awesome!

Heroes: don't look at me like that you guys! I basically watched/read my way through all three seasons (do you have any idea how much I adore TWoP?) this past week (I really need to stop doing this) and I'm tentatively excited for Season 4 - the second half of Season 3 went a long way towards being awesome again after the horror show that was the first half of Season 3 (the continuity screwups made my brain hurt). I really, really love Nathan and Peter, and because of inhibitions that Narnia fandom kind of completely stripped away, I ship Peter/Claire. What? Look at them! (I mean, it's not like half the show doesn't have completely incestuous subtext! and if it's not incestuous, it's gay subtext! sometimes both!). In short, I'm not like 'OMG YAY!' about Season 4, but I'll definitely be keeping an eye on it.

Glee: I was a little unnerved by the sheer amount of sex talk going on in the new episode (AND THAT SONG OMG so wrong and yet somehow REALLY funny!) and I'm crossing my fingers it doesn't end up being all soapy but it still delivered on being funny and adorable, so I'm still really really excited for all sorts of things about it! Especially if we get to see Tina more! (I LIKE Tina!)

Supernatural: The 5-minute preview at Comic Con! "I learned that from my friend Cas, you son of a bitch." OH, DEAN. I AM SO EXCITED FOR THIS SHOW TO BE BACK. *bounces up and down*

The Office: Yay for the office being back! That's going to be a lot of fun. XD

Merlin: ARTHUR/GWEN. GWEN/LANCELOT. I think the only thing that would make me happier about this season being potentially FABULOUS would be a Merlin/Morgana plot going (man, can you imagine how AWESOME those two would be together?).

SO BASICALLY, SO EXCITED.

In other news, oh my god school agh.

Supernatural: There is still 9 minutes left as I'm writing this comment, but how awesome is the first episode?

Heroes: Oh boy. I actually loved season 2 though most people didn't. But, the beginning of season 3 was too horrible, even for me to handle. But, season 4 should be epic. And, don't worry, 99.999999% of everyone who watch the show ship Peter/Claire. It's too obvious to not ship them.

Season 2 had some pretty nice parts - Nathan and Peter's talk at the end! Adam was AWESOME (I really like his actor)! Peter shirtless! ... wait, was that being shallow? :P Peter/Claire is too adorable not to ship!

Merlin: THE HET SHIPPERY IN THIS SHOW IS AWESOME (as is the slash, but the slash wears down on you after a while). AND I AM VERY HOPEFUL FOR MERLIN/MORGANA. WHO BETTER TO HELP MORGANA UNDERSTAND MAGIC THAN MERLIN and no, not Gaius?

Heroes! I had to break up with after the beginning of season 3. Even my unholy love for Nathan Petrelli couldn't keep me watching, sadly.

Aw, my heart BROKE last night when Dean broke up with Sam. And DEAN DO NOT FORGET YOU ARE CULPABLE TOO! YOU BROKE THE FIRST SEAL! Okay, am a little excited over it still. :D

HEROES:

+ I love you, ZQ, but not even for you will I watch this crap. The first season was awesome. Everything since has sucked. But I still love Mohinder. What a beautiful, beautiful man. He is sexy and intelligent. Just saying.

OH MY GOD, YES, LET'S TALK ABOUT GLEE.

+ I'm personally a huge fan of Kurt. ONE DAY YOU WILL ALL WORK FOR ME. YOU NEED TO CALL ME BEFORE YOU DRESS YOURSELF. YOU LOOK LIKE A TECHNICOLOR ZEBRA, AND I LOOK LIKE I AM A PART OF IT. Basically he is the shit, and I would gladly be his beard. BE MY GAY BEST FRIEND, KURT. I can't fucking wait for him to "audition for the role of kicker."

+ We need more solos from other characters. As much as I love Finn and Rachel, I don't want this to be all about them. But I'm 99.9% sure Mercedes has a solo in next week's episode, so we're headed in the right direction.

+ Will and Emma. I love Emma so much, and they are so cute together, but a leaving-one's-wife plot should never be so straightforward. They should have made his wife more sympathetic.

+ I also think it has these moments of being genuinely funny while offering commentary on contemporary American culture... Rachel with the Myspace, Finn saying that only half the kids in their school will go to college and maybe two will leave the state to do it, Will being unhappily married to his high school sweetheart, the celibacy club thing, Finn's dad dying in the First Gulf War... I just like how they've thrown that stuff in there, but in a non-heavy way.

SUPERNATURAL:

+ COULDN'T WATCH ON TV, IT IS DOWNLOADING RIGHT NOW, I AM EXCITED.

MERLIN:

+ DON'T THINK YOU FULLY UNDERSTAND THE EXTENT TO WHICH I WANT SOME MERLIN/MORGANA. I SHIP THE DOOMED SHIP OF DOOM. JUST THINK ABOUT THEM EXPLORING MAGIC TOGETHER AND FALLING IN LOVE ALL WHILE MORGANA IS STUMBLING ALONG A PATH TO A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT DESTINY AND THEN SHE LEAVES AND BREAKS HIS HEART AND ONE DAY THEY WILL BE ENEMIES BUT STILL KIND OF LOVE EACH OTHER. BE STILL, MY HEART.

+ ZQ is FABULOUS, but his storyline got screwed. Poor guy. And yeah, Mohinder's pretty much gorgeous ashkldjgd. Like said, Season 3 first half SUCKED, but have you seen any of the second half? It got pretty interesting. *crosses fingers* I'm hoping Season 4 will keep getting it on the fast track towards awesome again.

+ GLEE OMG. KURT IS EPICALLY AWESOME. Basically, all the quotes you just said! "YOU NEED TO CALL ME BEFORE YOU DRESS YOURSELF." ahglskdfghjdghs HEEEEE! And yeah, I'm really hoping they make Will's wife a bit more sympathetic - leaving your wife should have some level of difficulty (and I'm like.... 99% sure that Emma and Will are going to end up together, so). I really like what they're showing of high school culture, though I don't have any way to know if it's accurate (other than the Myspace, which homeschoolers have a tendency to cling to as well).

+ THE FIRST EPISODE WAS FABULOUS, WASN'T IT? OH MAN, CASTIEL IS AWESOME! and also, Dean and Sam! come on Dean! you can do it!

+ OMG CASTIEL WAS SUCH A BALLER IN THAT EPISODE. WHAT A BAD ASS ENTRANCE! That said... Show has gotten pretty ridiculous, NGL. If Bobby doesn't regain the ability to walk, I will hunt Kripke down. Also, they put Wincest on TV AGAIN. I can't decide whether I'm highly amused, or whether I should, like, disconnect Kripke's internet and make him get a life. ALSO, TOO MANY CHICK FLICK MOMENTS. BOYS. STOP DISCUSSING YOUR FEELINGS. However, JO IS BACK NEXT WEEK.
