So, I'm going to be a little scarce. I'm adjusting to the reality of my new schedule and I really need to buckle down and get some work done, because otherwise my procrastination is going to be the death of me, because I'm suddenly really, really busy.
Monday: English (ENC1101) 5:30 to 7:00 p.m., but my mom's class doesn't get out until 8:40, and she's my ride
Tuesday: College Algebra (MAC1101) 8:00 to 9:20 a.m., choir 4:00 to 6:00 p.m.
Wednesday: English 5:30 to 7:00 p.m.
Thursday: College Algebra 8:00 to 9:20 a.m.
Friday: Worldview 1:00 to 2:00 p.m.
I've also got AP Government and Latin II online (omg need to FINISH THESE CLASSES D:), am supposed to get in an hour of PSAT prepwork every weekday and two hours on weekends, do all the grocery shopping, get in at least 20 minutes of exercise a day, do homework, make sure I've got rides to places (which in my house is way harder than it sounds, hence my rather large amounts of biking), keep the house clean, make sure that we have dinner every night (I'm often the one cooking it), wash dishes 3 nights a week, and take all my pills.
Every time I go over that list it looks longer. O.o
Anyways, point being having three college-level classes and having to take care of most of the house cleaning/grocery shopping/meals planning/meals making* is kind of scaring me, especially after last week when I totally slacked off and just watched Herores for several days and I'm going to be a little scarce. And if I'm not, please tell me I should be. Oh my god, I don't know why I'm even thinking about doing NaNoWriMo. I can't even find the time to finish and edit two fairly small pieces! *dies*
*My mom is teaching 7 classes for 4 different colleges. I'm the oldest kid home, so I get dropped with the taking care of everyone else stuff.

Date: 2009-09-15 02:25 am (UTC)What are you doing in Latin? :D :D Also, do NaNo! I am going to try it again this year (as soon as I, uh, come up with a plot), we can compare word counts?
And I second Lass's interest in your worldview class, it sounds like it could be really fantastically interesting or really bad. Sometimes I have found that framing questions in a more hypothetical sense can make people less likely to shun you, though?

Date: 2009-09-15 03:37 pm (UTC)I'm about to do Indirect Statements - my teacher warned me ahead of time that if I'm not careful I'll explode my brains thinking too hard about them. :P oh, awesome! I'm going to try really really hard to do NaNo. yay for comparing wordcounts and cheering each other on!
it's really interesting once I can get around the Christian slant. yeah, I've been trying to keep myself from sounding confrontational and keep it all just discussion and friendly. it's kind of hard for me sometimes, because there's this one complete and total ditz in the class who insists on talking a lot and everything she says is just recycled from the people she knows. I have a hard time just keeping quiet while she talks and not being rude to her. and this framing questions hypothetically sounds useful! I shall have to remember this. *makes note*

Date: 2009-09-16 02:37 am (UTC)Hmmm, what stuff have you been talking about/has she been saying? Sometimes it really helps to be, like, you know--"I'm not saying I believe this [non-Christian thing] but hypothetically, why are there good people who aren't Christian and bad people who are?" that sort of thing. I've found that sometimes people are better about engaging if they don't think they have to be defensive.
