A DAY EARLY. I WIN.

Last line: "Behind you, Anna smiles at the ceiling."

I'm kind of sniffling right now, because I saved the emotional high point of the story for the last scene to write, and I just wrote it for the last thousand words and it made me sad. *sniff* But I am also riding a complete high right now, so. wheeeeee!

OMG I WON A DAY EARLY.

(things to do before I'm fully back: English portfolio, College algebra project, FINISH THE BLOODY A.P. GOV. AND LATIN II CLASSES DEAR GOD. also, will be doing puppets every night this week except for Monday at a church Christmas thingie. but the crossover exchange is out to beta, so!)

YOU GUYS I LOVE THE WOOOORLD.

LATIN II YAY! All I did during Latin II was translate Caesar though, I have no idea what other people do, because my teacher is crazy and ridiculous.

thanks! and ugggh, I know! I've been doing pretty well on my homework most of the month, but over the past few days I've been neglecting it, what with Thanksgiving, the end of NaNo, crossover exchange, etc.
crossover exchange editing, 10K of apocafic for the [livejournal.com profile] apocabigbang, and hopefully something for you are here: the journal of creative geography. and then back to Harborverse. NaNo I'm going to let rest, because it's honestly the sort of epic story that needs a lot more experience than I have to tell. later. I've at least got a good basis to build on now. :D

heeeee! thank you!

my church is doing a 'journey through christmas' thing. I don't tend to get involved in much, but the family in charge of doing children's church, where I help it, is the one that does all the puppets, so I'm helping out there. we do skits and songs and stuff with the puppets for the people waiting to go through the journey. it's good exercise for your arm!

I dropped it like somewhere in the second week when I had to write a paper. I can't really do that and nano at the same time... and once I got behind I really couldn't catch up. I think I could only manage it that first week, because school was kind to me then. I wish I could've stuck with it though! sigh.

CONGRATS =)

p.s. I loved AP Gov in High School. It was my favorite class. Lmao, I'm sure that's not normal.

If you stick to the basics it makes everything soooo much easier. I'm taking the AP exam this spring, I think. Latin is like the one thing I'm good at. Are you working on a specific piece of literature or just different excerpts?

stick to the basics, that makes sense. :D it's cool that you can remember all that stuff, because I can't almost at all. we're doing various excerpts and exercise mostly, from phases in Roman history. no ACTUAL Latin writings, which is sad, because that would be the coolest thing ever.

My teacher has this theory that everyone has this point where everything clicks and you just understand the language completely, but most people get frustrated and drop it before it happens for them. The AP Latin and Latin 3 classes are combined at my school and there are six people in it, total :/

It's really much harder when you do a little bit of everything because the style varies SO MUCH between writers. We do the Aeneid all year, because that's what's on the AP exam, but lately we've been doing a little bit of the Bible and everyone's like "wtf, this is easy," because it reads like it was translated from English to Latin instead of written in Latin originally. If you can do, like, Ovid or Vergil, though, college level Latin is laughably easy, so my teacher starts the epic poetry early on.

I don't think I'm quite there yet - but I know enough to get an A in Latin II, so. ;P

I'm not actually doing any actual Latin writers, just Latin sentences that they've created for us to translate. Which is kind of really annoying mostly - I'd much prefer translating actual Latin writing. It would probably be more difficult, but still! SO COOL.
