yeahhh, the creators of SPN are really in tune with the fandom. sometimes that's bad, because the fandom's pretty crazy. sometimes it gives us episodes like 5.09, which I thought was freaking hilarious (but which a lot of fandom is divided on).
see see see! that's kind of the completely awesome thing about this show. I can't give away how, but fandom is reacting to recent events in the show. it does start out like that in Season 1 - but by Season 5, the roles are pretty much reversed. it's really, really interesting to watch them all at once and see the roles change and how they take on a lot of the other's characteristics over time. and yes! a producer has been quoted as saying the entire show is about 'the epic love story of Sam and Dean.' the whole thing is about family, and the ties of family, and all that. it runs through the entire show, the fifth season is still exploring it. which I think is kind of awesome. lD
