So I thought, this being my 100th post, I'd go for something special. And then I was like 'aw whatever, I'm too busy trying to catch plot bunnies.'

And then I kind of sort of caught it, but it only gave me two three four characters, so I'm just going to put down the little bit it gave me because I really don't want to forget this. Just in case it turns into a plot and all, y'know.

Imogene (I'm not sure about this name AT ALL. I halfway want to name her Sidonie, or Risa, or Maris, or even Lupe) somethingorother (look, I'm not doing last names till I do at least a bit of research - AU or no, I'm keeping the basics of Roman naming). Around 15 or 16.
Her brother, Flavian somethingorother. Around 25. Member of one of the two legions currently stationed on the Wall, head of the small group of Horse.
Their mother, somewhere around 42, whose name I have not been given. I'm not sure how terribly important she is, but I do know that her husband was a member of the legions and died some several years back during the ill-fated Battle Beyond the Wall. Imogene was probably 3 or 4 at the time.
Flavian's best friend, whose name I don't know. Probably something Spanish, because that's where he's from. He's 22, a centaur, and quite good at his job, good enough to have become Flavian's lieutenant/the equivalent within four years. He and Imogene get along rather well.

Also, I'm trying to figure out why the Wall is so bustling. I mean, this is the only place the Picts come for supplies in all of Rome (and there are Picts who come back and forth, and individual Romans who come back and forth - it's just the Legions the Picts don't ever let through). So that would contribute to it, but I'm pretty sure there's another reason too. And it has to be a good one, because this is the Wall, the Picts aren't exactly friendly, and they've been known to kidnap people here. REASON. NEEDED.

THAT IS ONE OF THE AWESOMEST SCENES EVER.

Mostly for Merlin's reaction when Gaius comes in the door again. Because 'What, me? Naaah." IN THE MOST ADORABLE WAY POSSIBLE.

YESSSSSS. WATCH!

OH, YOUR NAMES. I REALLY LIKE YOUR NAMES. They remind me sort of my own original fic, except most of those names are REALLY, REALLY made up, whereas Imogene and Flavian are only...sort of made up. THE NAMES ARE GOOD. ME LIKEY. ♥

And I love how much of this you have already. It's so fun to read your progress. :D

XD Names are one of my major specialties, in that I take forever to get the exact right one and I've been known to read baby name books for the sheer fun of it.

Yeah, all those names up there are either authentic Roman or at least Latin names so far. Obviously, the centaur's name won't be either - it might be an attempt at Latinization of a Welsh or Spanish name, but I'm not sure yet.

XD It's nice to know that I can write about it and people will actually look it over. WHICH REMINDS ME. I need to get caught up on yours, because I don't know what it's about at all! D:

Hahahaha, I'm kinda like that too! Whenever I'm writing, especially just doing characters and stuff, I always have babynames.com open. And an online etymology site, because word roots (LATIN! GREEK!) are just AWESOME. :D

Hahahahah, I did give you the link, in my moment of shameless plugging. :D

THAT ICON IS STILL FREAKING GORGEOUS. *dies*

WORDS. SO PRETTTTYYYYY.

I'm actually looking it over right now, clicked on the link as soon as I finished up reading Dumbledore's Army and caught up on some of my LJ things (the most important ones).
