Oh! I've been meaning to drop this meme on y'all for a while! Ganked from approximately half my writing f-list. O.o

Give me the title of a story I've never written, and feedback telling me what you liked best about it, and I will tell you any of: the first sentence, the last sentence, the thing that made me want to write it, the biggest problem I had while writing it, why it almost never got posted, the scene that hit the cutting room floor but that I wish I'd been able to salvage, or something else that I want readers to know.

You guys know my fandoms! If I don't know it, I'll make something up.

I loved how unconventional your take on MerliNarnia was in Flysight - sure, anyone can crossover Camelot with Narnia, but bringing them together in England! The whole Susan/Morgana dynamic, paralleling (or perpendicularing?) the Edmund/Merlin, and the way you had the fic sort of rotate around the museum - oh how I love art :D

Also, I will forever love your Avatar dream!fic, Under sleep, where all the waters meet. Your insight into Sokka's character through his relationship with water as a non-bender was GORGEOUS and makes me love him even more, which I didn't really think was possible.

Flysight came within inches of not getting posted because MerliNarnia in ENGLAND. what was I even thinking? I was so worried that people would think Morgana being immortal didn't make any sense. I think I mostly did it for the Morgana/Susan, in truth. Edmund came in in the background, like he does so often, and kind of appropriated Merlin for his own devious ends. I wanted to parallel Morgana with Susan, to let Morgana and Susan meet someone else completely destroyed by legends. Probably my favorite part of the whole thing was the implication at the end that Morgana had seen the train wreck in her visions and hadn't told Susan or the others.
First sentence: Time is slipping away from Susan's grasp as she strives vainly to pin it down and keep it here where she can see it and manage it.
Last ... fair bit: The phone rings and Morgana gets up.
"I need to be going," she says, and kisses Susan on the cheek. The phone shrills again.
"When will I see you again?" Susan asks, and Morgana shakes her head.
"I don't know," she says. "There's something I have to do." She throws a glance at the phone involuntarily, remembering the news it will bring, and then turns and leaves. Behind her Susan says "hello?" As Morgana reaches the gate, she hears something break behind her.

Oh, man, Sokka. I don't do Avatar much, but how can you not love Sokka? and he's so intimately connected with water, really - through his friends, through his family, through his home and his fishing and everything he learned growing up. I think probably my favorite part was having him remember his first warrior training, when he was young, and all the technique names being named after water.
First sentence: When Sokka was young his father had taught him the three basic stances every warrior must know - the wave, the iceberg, and the snowfall.
Last sentence: The Southern Water Tribe buries their dead beneath the sea, sending them home, safe in the water that has been their life.

HOMG afdslkjdsf and Susan breaking something at the phone call *criiiiies* and Morgana leaves! because. oh, shit, wow. that would be a super amazing fic.

See I don't know about Avatar fic, it just doesn't seem like a universe that asks for it, but background fic is always good. And Sokka is always GREAT. and in conclusion I love Sokka. awwww his dad teaching him warrior stances! and like he goes back home and tries to make Katara jealous and Katara splashes him and his dad gives them a look and they shut up XD His battle-facepaint is so so cool.

Morgana avoids sorrow. over the years, she has become a little less human. I almost added a scene later, where Merlin makes her come with him to the funeral, but I decided against it. I wanted to leave it open-ended, a little ambiguous as to whether or not Susan and Morgana ever got together again.

SOKKA'S BATTLE FACEPAINT. AWESOMEST EVER. eeeeee! my second favorite part was probably him learning how to put it on. and wee!Sokka&Katara is just too adorable. XD

It's too much for a person to carry. becoming a little less human over the years - that is so far the best reason I've heard for her slipping into badness. because she can't help it and it's tragic and we can identify with her even. morganaaaaa :((( and the irony with leaving Morgana fic open-ended is the stark contrast between the fact that the reader doesn't know what happens, but they know she knows what will happen. wow.

I LOVE IT AWWWWW lord if I ever write Avatar fic it is going to be Sokka and Katara playtimes and cuddlefest and angsty homesickness and whatever XD
