SO!
zempasuchil posted a link to you are here: the journal of creative geography (!!!!!!) which made me whimper with glee because CREATIVE GEOGRAPHY oh academia you can be so RIDICULOUSLY AWESOME SOMETIMES. ahkhdlgkhsdlkfjsdlg
but I am busy I CANNOT TRY TO WRITE FOR THIS JOURNAL NOOOO I have
xover_exchange due in two months, and one of said months is NOVEMBER during which I am doing NANO (I got my prompt for the crossover exchange, btw, AND OMG YAAAAAAY I cannot give things away but I shall have LOADS AND LOADS of fun!) and then there's the SPN fic I've been writing off-and-on for a little bit with
marycontraire 's birthday in mind (it's going to be late, but most everything from me is late these days D:) and well at least I finally finished that Susan fic and posted it! because the next three months there is going to be one hell of a lot of writing! NaNo = 50K,
xover_exchange = at least 1.5K but considering what I want to write will be probably at least double that, the SPN fic is threatening to be long if I can't curtail it (but I don't really WANT to), and the imaginative geography thing if I do manage to get around to it (which I had better!) promises to be full of ridiculousness and squeeing and stuff. *headdesk*
Happy two-days-after-your-birthday,
marycontraire ! I'm sorry this is late, for some weird reason I thought your birthday was today (my brain is scattered). eventually there will be SPN girls-being-awesome fic for you! <333333333333 you're awesome!

Date: 2009-10-15 01:53 am (UTC)Also the deadline for the geography thing is Jan 10... so you've got a while. don't stress! <3 I'm so excited you're excited about it though! I have to make sure I write something for it, because omg that'd be amazing if they accepted one of our submissions :DDD

Date: 2009-10-15 04:02 pm (UTC)I do have a while! which is fabulous, because I have these other things and NO IDEA what I will write for the journal - just that I definitely want to write something. huh. it's actually feasible, I guess, that I could work part of my NaNo into a short story for it - it's the type of story that works in short form.
CIRCLES OF REVOLUTIONNNNN.

Date: 2009-10-15 02:39 am (UTC)(I looked for one of Susan hugging Lucy, because you are totally the Lucy to my Susan, but while my .gif collection is terrifyingly large, it is not yet complete, so this shall have to do.)
DO NOT APOLOGIZE. If you keep stalling, my birthday could last a whole week! Seriously. I am frequently annoyed by how fragmented my life is-- my current-college friends are separate from my past-college friends, who are separate from my high school friends, who are separate from my family, who are separate from my livejournal friends... and despite my efforts to make introductions, all of these areas remain completely separate. It's totally possible for me to have a hugely social weekend and not get any work done, and then on Monday someone will be like, WHY ARE YOU SUCH A HERMIT, I HAVE NOT SEEN YOU IN DAYS? Which can be frustrating. But it makes for many birthdays. A high school friend baked me cake on Saturday, my family gave me cake on Sunday, and on Monday (my actual birthday) my friendspage basically exploded, and my college friends bought me a cupcake. And then yesterday Lass wrote me fic! It never ends! I feel so speshul.
But even though I love you, I'm going to give you some advice that you don't want to hear. DON'T LET FANDOM TAKE OVER YOUR LIFE. Seriously. Shelf my birthday fic for Christmas and go do your homework and think deep thoughts about NaNoWriMo. You don't need more deadlines in your life. I know this because I just got off the phone with my real sister, another stressed-out high schooler. She doesn't even have time to come to the Avett Brothers concert with me this weekend, and I bought those tickets for her birthday!

Date: 2009-10-15 04:18 pm (UTC)wow so many circles! yeah, that sounds difficult. and yay for never-ending birthdays! :D <333 that would be because you are special.
aww, thanks! I swear I'm not, though. I've been getting my homework done fairly consistently recently (not this week, but that's mostly because I had PSAT and last-minute studying for it and other stuffs like that). I promise if I feel overloaded I won't push myself, though. *solemn nod* NaNo-wise, I'd think deep thoughts but if I work out the plot too much I won't be able to write it. :/ I have to avoid writing/thinking about it for most of October or I burn out on the plot too early. (but that is so sad! is there no way she can make time? she could do school in the car, or something! D:)

Date: 2009-10-15 09:50 pm (UTC)Well, since we live in New York, she would be doing it on the subway, not in the car. But, yeah, I'm not giving her ticket away yet. Hopefully she'll change her mind. I'm actually about to go home to do laundry and she's going to make me participate in a horrifically circular discussion about whether she should apply early to this one college. And she's asked me to bring my laptop which means she's planning on either a) stealing music or b) crashing it. LET'S HOPE FOR OPTION A.

Date: 2009-10-15 04:25 pm (UTC)I do not know yet! perhaps adapting part of my NaNo, if it fits the requirements? something. I do not know what at all. :D but there is a while to figure it out, so yay!
