You guys you guys. I'm hosting comment_fic this week, and my theme today was 'on the road.' And as a sample prompt, I gave "Merlin, author's choice, road trip AU." And mariana_oconnor (on her writing journal definewisdom ) wrote a long, beautiful one called "Until We Run Out of Road." It's a modern AU, Merlin driving across England in the days after Will dies with a figment-of-his-imagination-Will in the passenger seat, and Arthur comes into it, and it's really lovely. From the back seat, Will laughs. He sounds a little hysterical. Merlin thinks that being dead will probably do that to you.

Also, random note which is more related to your music entry, but AAAAAAH. DEFYING GRAVITY. Why have I not heard this song earlier? IT IS THE GREATEST. Plus it's so much fun to sing and totally in my voice range! *geeks around singing very loudly*

*gasp* how have you not heard this song? defying gravity ROCKS. it is my go-to theme song for when I feel like crap, and I sing it around teh house all the time. I got my sister hooked on it too.

W-well, I heard it ONCE in drama in 7th grade, but all I remember is a vaguely belt-y song from Wicked. And then I decided I must Youtube it, since you brought it up, and I've been HOOKED. It's so much ridiculous amounts of fun to sing and yet still so moving and GAH. I love it to pieces. <3333
