I feel bad, I have been neglecting - um, everything?

I picked up a few people at the YJ friending meme! I feel like I should introduce myself, but I am really super bad at introductions. Um. Hi, I'm Betsy, I'm working in New Zealand for a year before college, I like reading and writing and music and watching things and LADIES and superheroes (and superhero ladies are double awesome) and politics in the sense of wanting to beat up all the politicians and do something myself and languages and silly things and RPing and Susan Pevensie. (You may think the last one is overly specific compared to the others. It is not. Susan Pevensie is the actual best. She is an entire category of awesome all by herself.)

NaNoWriMo is in five days! This is really exciting to me. I have been wanting to write and doing planning for writing a lot this past year, but I've been so fragmented in my actual writing, bits and pieces of things. NaNo makes me sit down and write a complete narrative, which is always a good and needed thing. HEY HEY HEY you should talk to me about NaNo, anyone else doing it or anyone who just wants to talk!

Also Crossover Exchange (which I should get written this week if I am smart, which invariably I am not when it comes to deadlines), Yuletide when it comes around, and Festivids.

TV-wise, I have nothing but incoherent joy at Downton Abbey, even more incoherent joy for Young Justice (TEAM TEAM THIS TEAM OH MY GOD), an admission that I have GOT to catch up on Criminal Minds and Nikita, and a note that I've been watching a few episodes of Alpha and it seems quite interesting. But I am so open to discussing these shows, definitely.

Her heart is beating very fast indeed, and where she can feel the pulse at the corner of his wrist his is as well.

This is actually more or less a sequel to last year's NFE, your least gesture beckoned a constellation. (I even titled them from the same poem. I know, I know.) At first I was kind of worried as to whether I could write another fic about Liliandil, but as it turns out I quite like her and writing her - I should do it more often, but then again her and Caspian's lives just make me really, really sad. I hope I did justice to her. There was more I wish I could have figured out how to put in, on her tangled loyalties and maybe some meta on how stars work, but I got stuck too many times when I tried and I didn't have enough time to make it work. (I think it would have taken a long time.)

I've been working on the last thing for the We Love The Women That Fandom Hates fest, but it keeps being too big and taking too long. It will show up someday, I promise. :P

Hey guys! it's that time of year again. :D If you've got people you think I should definitely vote for, there are a bunch of shows I'm not invested in and am willing to gives votes for.

But I would totally approve if people voted for Sybil Crawley in the Downton Abbey v. Southland face-off, because she is fierce and amazing and wears trousers and wants the vote and tries to help servants get better jobs and lives and is totally in love with her chauffeur. :D SERIOUSLY. Unless you are totally invested in a Southland character, you should vote for Sybil. SHE IS AMAZING. SHE WEARS TROUSERS IN 1914. she spends a lot of her time saying "fuck you" to societal norms and conventions, and is passionate and idealistic and also perhaps a little too okay with lying to get her own way.
