 I cannot even begin to say how sick I am of cleaning up everybody else's messes in my house.

In other news, starting the long (and already slightly tedious) search for Colleges. That I am more excited for this than anything that has happened this week (which has included two people coming home from long trips, Esther spending the day home from work, icecream, and park day, among other things) says nothing good for the stress freaking me out here.

... *twitches* Someone remind me that Katherine is 15 and hormonal and it is not her fault she's being horrible. (Except for how it kind of is.) *clings to tiny corner of fandom*

Of course, if you visit Tulane, you will never ever want to go anywhere else. (Tulane was my last choice school -- it was actually my safety school, because I applied really early since the application was free and really easy compared to most of the other ones, and I got a pretty good chunk of financial aid from them. But I visited, and fell in love with it, and then there was the time I locked myself in the bathroom crying because I didn't want to go to Wellesley, I wanted to go to Tulane! ...sadly that's a true story. Let us use it as an example of why it is good to visit schools, although I know (oh, but I know) how hard it can be to do so, because of distance and financial concerns.) You could always try floating New Orleans as a vacation destination, rather than merely, "I want to go and check out this school and nothing else?" We do have one hell of a lot of stuff to do in this city. (And despite stupid media hype and cliches, the majority of it is family-friendly, even Mardi Gras. *scowls*) We're also (literally) right next door to Loyola University of New Orleans (which, yeah, is a Jesuit school), if you could try the idea of checking out two universities at once.
