Merlin Crack/Cliche Fest, with lots of fun to be had for all!

ETA: Currently containing, among other things - Greg, Arthur's talking sword. Merlin in Hogwarts (oh, Lass, you enabler, you). Hooker!fic, because Hunith is sick and the medicine is expensive (with bonus nurse!Arthur). Merlin as dinosaurs. Merlin the Evil Overlord. The doomed love of Merlin the Ninja and Arthur the Pirate. And much, much more!

... huh. Well.

That was distinctly... cracky.

Excerpt from the already-a-few-pages-long thing I was writing in the car and at church this morning.

"So," Caspian says. "Can I expect all the girls to say hi by kissing me? And also, what other immortal people have you managed to pick up?"

"It's more of an 'immortals stick together because everyone else dies' thing," Lucy says from the front seat, her head still on Edmund's shoulder. He's watching her fondly as he drives. "Let's see. We've got Arthur and Merlin and Morgana and Gwen and Lancelot, none of whom you'd know. Galadriel and Celeborn and Elrond and his twin sons all hang around, though they're a bit more detached, you don't know them either but they're all elves and I'm not at all sure how we ended up with them. There's other elves, but they tend to be off in the wild communing with nature of some such nonsense. And then Eowyn and Faramir, who are absolutely adorable."

"Huh," Caspian manages to interject. Lucy, he thinks wryly, has lost none of her ability to chatter on and on and on.

"I should warn you ahead of time that apparently the thing that we all do best is sleep around and gossip about who's sleeping around." Lucy wriggles a bit. "Mm. But no going after Eowyn or Galadriel, they and their husbands are quite dedicated to each other."

Caspian nods and then turns to see what Peter and Susan are doing beside him.

They're kissing, and he rolls his eyes and faces up front again.

I AM TELLING YOU ALL. CRAAACK. And they're all thieves. XD

SO. TODAY. I did my tutoring thing (YAY MONEY AND TEACHING KIDS!). I go twice a week (Monday's and Wednesday's) to math at my best friend's house because her mom (Mrs. V) is awesome and was working on her degree in Chemistry when she got married and is really really smart, basically. And my mom likes this arrangement better than trying to teach me Algebra and Geometry herself, because that does not turn out well. And the two T. boys (Pauly and Mikey) and another boy named Jerry come too, and Mrs. V teaches all of us and Phoebe and Lila (Phoebe's younger sister).

Anyways, she taught us Algebra 1 and Geometry and now she's halfway through the Algebra 2 book and we've never done anything but watched her kids while she taught us, so today we went an hour and a half early and we cleaned up a lot of her yard for her, which was fun and really nice and I'm glad we did it because Mrs. V is AWESOME, kthnx.

Because I didn't really explain it before, it's a Merlin crack verse where the main four of Merlin are New England college students writing fanfic about a show (possibly called 'Revolutions'?) about Karl Marx (played by Colin Morgan) and Friedrich Engels (played by Bradley James) along with a quick-witted barmaid named Marie (played by Katie McGrath) and Jenny von Westphalen (played by Angel Coulby). They argue about the shipping and motivations and write fanfic and Merlin teaches Arthur about LJ and there's also video diaries for the fake!show and it's all just SO EPIC OMG YAYYY.

Thirdly, OMG I need to be writing my original!fic at some point here, don't I? Or at least picking which one I'm going to do and STICKING TO IT.

'Seahenge' by Francis Pryor just came in from the library. The lovely

almostinstinct recommended two of his other books to me, but my library system had neither of them so I got this one out instead, and it's WONDERFUL. Makes me wish I could get my hands on the two she recommended, because OMG DEATH AND THE LANDS REALIGNING AND EVERYTHING PRACTICALLY DESIGNED TO MAKE ME SQUEE.

I'm already on Chapter 6 on my first break-neck read-through, though I get the feeling I'm going to have to read it again afterwards, more leisurely and maybe even take notes. *sighs in bliss* Seriously, if I weren't convinced I'd be horrible at it and end up hating it (look, I like being outdoors and sports, but I don't have the endurance or the patience to do it and I also have this need to have really easy access to a computer <333), I'd be looking at a major in Archaelogy RIGHT NOW.

It's definitely taking my attention away from my ribs, which are now aching in two places, and my lungs, which do not feel happy. Also, I met This One Boy at the library while I was picking up Seahenge, and he used to have a crush on me and tried to ask me out so I do not feel at all comfortable around him. It's not that he's not nice and cute and all that, I'm just not planning on dating right now and the idea makes me uncomfortable because I am telling you, I am too young to be off making out with boys. TOO YOUNG.

lassiterfics filled my day with glee when she posted this entry. IT'S LIKE, META WITHIN META CRACK. CIRCLES OF THE WORLD AND ALL THAT STUFF. Honestly, I don't know where her brain comes up with this BUT CAN I BORROW IT FOR A FEW DAYS?
